Martin B. Robertson papers, ca. 1918.

Personal and professional papers of Martin B. Robertson, his second wife, Florence (Battle) Robertson, and his sister Florence R. Robertson. Papers are listed chronologically through 1976 and include the settling of his sister Florence's estate in 1964. Much of the information pertains to Martin's professional activities as well as his involvement with the Willimantic Rotary Club. From 1950 to 1959 he was a professor at the current Eastern Connecticut State University. One box contains children's school work from the late 1940s. The children were in grades 1 through 8 and their work covered a variety of topics, including pets and war. Contains a proof of the book "Creative Writing", published by Florence Battle and Martin Robertson, and drafts of other writings published by Florence Battle. The collection also contains the Willimantic State Teachers College Faculty Newsletter, 1955-1967. and a report on Teacher Education in Connecticut (1967). Diaries and notebooks include Florence R. Robertson's library school notes. Other Robertson siblings mentioned within the collection are J. Russell and Lafayette J. Robertson, Jr.
